Job summary

P&L is hiring a General Assistant to deliver comprehensive customer service in-store. You will assist shoppers, load purchases, and ensure stock is correctly merchandised and priced in your aisle.

The role requires good communication in English and the local language, basic math, flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and the ability to work under pressure while keeping the store tidy and safe for customers.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or 1 year of related work experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive customer service in-store.
• Load and merchandize stock; label shelf prices.
• Assist customers with product queries and orders.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Promote add-on sales such as related products.
• Maintain safe, tidy aisles and ensure accessibility.
