Job summary

P&L is seeking a General Assistant to deliver comprehensive customer service in the store, assist with loading stock, merchandising and housekeeping within a defined area.

The role requires Grade 12 or equivalent, basic math, English communication, willingness to work shifts including weekends and public holidays, and the ability to work under pressure while ensuring customer satisfaction. You will engage with customers, label shelves and support loss prevention.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or 1 year work-related experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive customer service in-store.
• Load and merchandise stock and label shelf prices.
• Maintain housekeeping within your area of responsibility.
• Acknowledge customers and determine needs, advise on products.
• Assist with product queries and handle complaints promptly.
• Promote add-on sales and ensure safe loading of purchases.
• Ensure area is safe and free of obstacles, maintain clean aisles.
