Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is seeking a General Assistant to ensure excellent customer service in-store, assist with merchandising and maintain neat, labeled shelves. You will support housekeeping in your designated area and help customers with product information and queries.

The role requires basic math skills, the ability to work under pressure, and willingness to cover shifts, weekends and public holidays. English and local language communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 10/NQF 3 with 1 year related experience or Grade 12 with no related experience.
• Able to communicate in English and the local dominant language.
• SA ID or valid work permit.
• Basic calculation skills for transactions.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive customer service in store.
• Merchandise stock and ensure shelves are labeled correctly.
• Maintain housekeeping in designated area.
• Advise and assist customers with product queries.
• Restore and maintain store layout and planograms in area.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness in work area.
