Job summary

Sanlam Developing Markets is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to grow customer base and revenue for the Retail Mass segment. You will lead branch strategy, guide Sales Consultants, and drive a service-focused culture to deliver excellent client experiences.

The role requires 5+ years in leadership, deep knowledge of wealth products, stakeholder engagement, and a results-driven approach. Strong people management and adaptability are essential in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• RE1 and RE5 certification required.
• 120 Wealth Management credits OR FSCA-recognised qualification.
• Class of Business accreditation must be current.
• CPD must be up to date.

Responsibilities

• Grow the customer base and revenue of Sanlam Retail Mass through developing and overseeing the retail branch strategy.
• Guide and standardise activities and goals of Sales Consultants within the branch.
• Lead a service delivery culture to ensure optimal client experience.
• Oversee day-to-day branch operations, planning and business development.
• Ensure sales delivery, service culture, compliance, quality and risk management.
• Lead direct reports with collaboration from HR on talent, performance and development.
• Plan and report monthly on sales and service activities; engage stakeholders effectively.
• Identify key internal and external stakeholders and determine engagement tactics.
