Job summary

Sanlam Limited is seeking a Branch Manager to grow the Retail Mass customer base and revenue by leading branch strategy and a team of Sales Consultants. You will drive service excellence, ensure compliance, and manage daily branch operations.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in leadership within financial services, CPD-compliant practice, and experience in credit/lending. A strong focus on stakeholder engagement and data-driven decision making is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong track record in growing branch-based revenue and customer base.
• Ability to guide and standardise activities of Sales Consultants.
• Experience in service delivery culture and client experience management.
• Experience in branch operations, business planning and sales delivery.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and risk management in retail financial services.
• Familiarity with Sanlam insurance products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grow customer base and revenue of Sanlam Retail Mass through developing and overseeing branch strategy.
• Guide, integrate, and standardise activities of Sales Consultants to align with strategy.
• Lead a service delivery culture and ecosystem for optimal client experience.
• Oversee day-to-day management of the Retail branch including branch strategy and planning.
• Ensure retail branch sales delivery and establish a service culture across channels.
• Ensure compliance, quality and risk management in operations.
• Manage direct reports with HR on talent, performance, development and grievances.
• Plan and report monthly sales and service activity; engage key stakeholders.
