Job summary

Sanlam Developing Markets is looking for a Branch Manager in Durban to grow the customer base and revenue by executing the branch strategy. You will guide sales consultants, lead a service culture, and oversee day-to-day operations of the Retail branch, ensuring compliance and risk management.

You will work with HR on people practices, plan monthly sales activities and build key internal/external relationships to support sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• RE1 and RE5 registrations are required.
• 120 Wealth Management credits OR FSCA-qualified recognized qualification.
• Class of Business accreditation (annual) is required.
• Continuous Professional Development (CPD) current and past cycles must be compliant.
• Minimum 5 years recent industry experience, with 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Service Management experience is essential.
• Insurance sales experience and credit and lending experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grow the customer base and revenue of Sanlam Retail Mass through developing and overseeing the execution of the retail branch strategy.
• Guide, integrate and standardise activities, goals and objectives of Sales Consultants in the branch.
• Lead a service delivery culture to enable an optimal client experience within and outside the branch.
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance and management of the Retail branch and develop the branch strategy and business plan.
• Ensure retail branch sales delivery and establish a strong service culture.
• Ensure compliance, quality and risk management.
• Manage operational people practices with HR collaboration.
• Plan and report monthly on sales and service activities in the branch.
• Identify stakeholders and determine engagement tactics for relationship building.
