Reservationist | Grahamstown | Luxury Safari Reserve

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an organized, professional and guest-focused Reservationist to join a prestigious luxury safari reserve in Grahamstown.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing reservation enquiries, processing bookings and ensuring a seamless experience for guests from their initial enquiry through to their arrival. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional service within a luxury hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle all incoming reservation enquiries via telephone, email and other communication channels.
• Process individual and group reservations accurately and efficiently.
• Provide guests with detailed information regarding accommodation, rates, packages and lodge facilities.
• Manage booking confirmations, amendments, cancellations and special requests.
• Ensure all guest information and booking details are accurately captured and maintained on the reservation system.
• Communicate effectively with lodge management and relevant departments regarding upcoming arrivals and guest requirements.
• Follow up on enquiries and convert potential bookings into confirmed reservations.
• Maintain professional relationships with travel agents, tour operators and other industry partners.
• Ensure all reservations are handled in accordance with the property's standards and procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the booking process.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a reservations role within a hotel, lodge or luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and professional email correspondence.
• Knowledge of hospitality reservation systems and booking procedures.
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• A professional, friendly and guest-oriented personality.
• Good computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of the safari and tourism industry would be advantageous.

Salary: R17,000 per month +R780 meal allowance
