Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an organised, professional and guest-focused Reservationist to join a prestigious luxury safari reserve in Grahamstown.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing reservation enquiries, processing bookings and ensuring a seamless experience for guests from their initial enquiry through to their arrival. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional service within a luxury hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle all incoming reservation enquiries via telephone, email and other communication channels.

Process individual and group reservations accurately and efficiently.

Provide guests with detailed information regarding accommodation, rates, packages and lodge facilities.

Manage booking confirmations, amendments, cancellations and special requests.

Ensure all guest information and booking details are accurately captured and maintained on the reservation system.

Communicate effectively with lodge management and relevant departments regarding upcoming arrivals and guest requirements.

Follow up on enquiries and convert potential bookings into confirmed reservations.

Maintain professional relationships with travel agents, tour operators and other industry partners.

Ensure all reservations are handled in accordance with the property's standards and procedures.

Provide exceptional customer service throughout the booking process.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a reservations role within a hotel, lodge or luxury hospitality environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of hospitality reservation systems and booking procedures.

Strong administrative and organisational abilities.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask.

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

A professional, friendly and guest-oriented personality.

Good computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office.

Knowledge of the safari and tourism industry would be advantageous.

Salary: R17,000 per month +R780 meal allowance
