Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a professional Reservations Agent to join a luxury safari lodge in the Northern Cape. You will handle inquiries, process bookings, and assist guests with information and services to ensure an exceptional experience.

Ideal candidates will have experience in reservations within luxury hospitality, strong communication, and superb organisational skills, able to work independently or in a team under pressure.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in reservations role, preferably within a luxury lodge, hotel or safari environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in reservation systems and general computer applications.
• A professional telephone manner and a guest-focused approach.
• The ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Knowledge of safari lodge operations and the tourism industry would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage reservations enquiries received via telephone, email and online booking platforms.
• Process bookings, amendments, cancellations and special requests accurately and efficiently.
• Provide guests with detailed information regarding accommodation, lodge facilities, rates and experiences.
• Maintain accurate reservation records and ensure all guest information is updated.
• Liaise with the lodge team to communicate arrivals, departures, special occasions and guest preferences.
• Follow up on enquiries and convert potential bookings into confirmed reservations.
• Ensure all guest interactions reflect the high standards expected of a luxury safari establishment.
• Assist with administrative duties and reservation reports as required.
