Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Water Resources Engineer to lead hydrology, hydraulics, and water systems design from anywhere in South Africa. You will support water supply, drainage, and wastewater projects and work with clients and regulatory bodies using digital collaboration tools.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 7 years of water resources experience, a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree, and preferably ECSA Pr.Eng registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• 7+ years experience in water resources engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Eng is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses for water resources projects.
• Design conceptual and detailed designs for water supply, drainage, and wastewater systems.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
• Utilize hydraulic modeling software (HEC-RAS, EPANET) to simulate flow and behavior.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and regulators using online tools.
• Provide technical guidance on water resource management strategies.
• Assist in preparing proposals and tender documents.
