Placements24 is seeking a highly competent Remote Telecommunications Technician to support a client’s network infrastructure nationwide, including the East London region.

The role involves remote monitoring, troubleshooting, and configuration of telecommunications equipment and systems, with a focus on reliable, secure connectivity and clear communication within a distributed team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Telecommunications Technician or related network support with remote responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications, including networking protocols, fiber optics, and wireless technologies.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking hardware.

Responsabilités

• Remotely monitor and manage telecommunications network equipment, including routers, switches, and transmission systems.
• Diagnose and resolve network performance issues, connectivity problems, and system faults.
• Perform remote configuration and updates of network devices and software.
• Provide technical support to field technicians and end-users regarding telecommunications issues.

About the Role

You will play a crucial part in ensuring the reliability and performance of our client's network services, supporting both internal operations and external client needs. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and excels at remote problem-solving and communication within a distributed team structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Remotely monitor and manage telecommunications network equipment, including routers, switches, and transmission systems.
