Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Technical Support Representative to join our team, offering a flexible remote arrangement from Benoni. You will diagnose complex hardware, software, and network issues, guide customers through solutions, and document all interactions in our ticketing system.

This role requires at least 3 years in technical support, strong OS and networking knowledge, and excellent communication for non-technical users.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support or a similar IT role.
• Strong understanding of operating systems, networking concepts, and common software applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.
• Proficiency in remote support tools and ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Jira Service Desk).
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support to customers via phone, email, and remote desktop sessions.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues efficiently.
• Guide customers through step-by-step solutions and troubleshooting procedures.
• Document all support interactions, resolutions, and technical findings in the ticketing system.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support teams or engineering departments with detailed information.
