Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Technical Support Engineer to join our fully remote engineering team, operating with Randburg as the base of operations. The role focuses on providing sophisticated technical assistance, diagnosing complex issues, and ensuring minimal disruption to customer operations.

You will work within a globally distributed team, delivering high-quality support, knowledge documentation, and training materials as part of continuous service improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience as Technical Support Engineer or similar advanced technical role.
• Strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level technical support and problem resolution for complex customer issues.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software malfunctions remotely.
• Document technical issues, solutions, and workarounds in the knowledge base.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify and resolve systemic issues.
• Develop and deliver technical training materials for support staff and customers.
• Mentor junior support staff and contribute to team technical expertise.
