Placements24 is seeking a Lead Talent Acquisition Specialist to drive tech recruitment strategies in a remote-capable, nationwide role across South Africa. You will mentor junior recruiters, shape workforce plans with hiring managers, and own the end-to-end process for senior technical roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years in talent acquisition with strong tech recruitment focus.
• Experience leading recruitment projects or teams in consultancy or agency settings.
• Proven ability to source niche tech talent (AI/ML, Cybersecurity, Cloud, DevOps).
• Familiar with ATS, CRM and sourcing tools to optimize hiring workflows.
• Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities.
• Capable of working independently in a fully remote environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment for senior technical roles across multiple industries.
• Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to attract passive and active candidates.
• Partner with hiring managers and leaders to define talent needs and workforce plans.
• Oversee candidate experience from application to onboarding.
• Mentor junior recruiters and provide training and feedback.
• Analyze data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in TA strategies.
• Build relationships with clients, hiring managers and candidates.
• Stay updated on market trends and emerging tech to provide strategic insights.
• Contribute to employer branding and talent community development.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
