Placements24 is seeking a remote Social Support Specialist to serve clients in Gauteng from a home office. The role focuses on virtual counseling, needs assessment, and connecting individuals and families to community resources.

You'll collaborate with partners, maintain secure records, and stay current on social policies. This fully remote position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to impact lives across South Africa.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in social support, counseling, or case management.
• Experience with diverse populations and challenges.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication; empathetic approach.
• Proficiency with Zoom/Teams and digital case management tools.

Responsabilités

• Provide virtual counseling, guidance, and support to individuals and families experiencing social difficulties.
• Assist clients in identifying needs and accessing community resources, social programs, and government assistance.
• Conduct virtual needs assessments and develop personalized support plans.
• Facilitate online support groups and educational workshops for clients.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records using secure digital platforms.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies via digital channels to coordinate client care.
• Advocate for clients' needs with service providers and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on relevant social policies, legislation, and available community resources.
• Respond to client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally via phone, email, and video conferencing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of remote service delivery models.
