Job summary

Placements24 is looking for a dedicated Remote Social Support Navigator to join our national team in South Africa. You will remotely assess needs, research resources, and guide individuals through social service applications, empowering communities with accessible support.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Social Work or related field, at least 3 years in case management or client-facing work, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of case management or client-facing experience.
• Proven ability to research and navigate complex service systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong remote collaboration and proficiency with digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote needs assessments to identify clients' social, economic and health-related challenges.
• Research and maintain a nationwide database of social services and resources.
• Assist clients in applying for relevant benefits and programs, guiding through processes.
• Provide information and referrals to agencies and service providers.
• Offer ongoing remote support and follow-up to ensure access and benefit uptake.
• Act as liaison between clients and service providers to coordinate care.
• Maintain confidential client records in an electronic system.
