Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced and empathetic Community Support Coordinator to join our team on a fully remote basis, supporting individuals in the Cape Town area. You will connect people with social services, provide guidance, and empower communities across the Western Cape.

You will manage caseloads using digital tools, coordinate services with NGOs and service providers, and organize virtual engagement events.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree or diploma in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in community development, social services, or client support.
• Excellent virtual communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using digital collaboration tools and case management software.
• Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to work autonomously.
• Deep understanding of the social landscape and available resources within the Cape Town region.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate access to social services, healthcare, and educational resources for community members.
• Provide remote guidance and support to individuals navigating complex personal or social challenges.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, NGOs, and service providers.
• Manage a caseload of clients, track progress, and document all interactions and outcomes effectively.
• Organize and promote virtual community engagement events and support groups.
• Identify emerging community needs and propose relevant support initiatives.
