Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Social Support Officer for a fully remote role serving Soweto and surrounding Gauteng areas. You will provide guidance, advocacy, and remote access to social services, building rapport with clients via digital channels while maintaining detailed records.

The role requires strong digital communication skills, empathy, and independence to manage a remote caseload from home.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification or demonstrable experience in social work or related field.
• Experience in remote support or case management.
• Excellent digital communication, including video conferencing.
• Strong knowledge of social services in Soweto and Gauteng.
• Empathetic and able to build rapport virtually.
• Self-motivated with good time management for a remote caseload.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote support and guidance on social services.
• Assist clients with housing, financial aid, and other services.
• Conduct needs assessments and develop remote support plans.
