Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Social Support Officer to join our Soweto-based team in Gauteng. You will provide practical and emotional support to individuals and families facing social challenges, helping them access resources and improve their quality of life.

You will collaborate with government departments, NGOs, and community organizations to assess needs, develop tailored plans, and guide clients through application processes while maintaining confidential case records and reporting

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field.
• Experience in a social support or client-facing role is required.
• Good understanding of social welfare systems and Soweto resources.

Responsibilities

• Assess client needs and develop tailored support plans.
• Provide guidance in accessing social services, housing, and financial aid.
• Offer emotional support and counseling to clients and families.
• Liaise with government departments, NGOs, and community-based organizations.
