Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Social Support Coordinator to provide virtual support and resources to individuals and families across South Africa. You will assess needs, guide clients, and connect them with services, information, and emotional support via digital channels.

The role requires empathy, strong organization, and experience with remote client interaction within social welfare contexts. A degree in a related field and proficiency with digital tools are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field.
• Experience in counseling, social work, or support roles, preferably with remote client interaction.
• Strong knowledge of social welfare services and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual needs assessments with clients via phone, video calls, and secure messaging.
• Provide information, guidance, and emotional support to clients on social and personal issues.
• Coordinate referrals to external agencies, support groups, and professional services.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of community resources.
• Monitor client progress and follow up to ensure needs are met.
