Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Remote Community Support Officer to join a dedicated team. The role involves assessing needs, offering remote guidance to clients for social services, healthcare, and education, and maintaining an up-to-date database of resources accessible remotely.

You will conduct virtual assessments, support individuals from diverse geographies, and document progress in the CRM system, enabling a wide geographic reach and impact from home offices in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant qualification in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a social support or community outreach role.
• Proven experience with remote client interaction and digital communication tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, suitable for virtual engagement.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload independently.
• Comfortable working from a home office environment with reliable internet connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual needs assessments using phone, video conferencing, and online platforms.
• Provide remote guidance and support to individuals seeking access to social services, healthcare, and educational resources.
• Develop and maintain an up-to-date database of community resources and support services accessible remotely.
• Facilitate online support groups and workshops for community members.
• Document client interactions, progress, and outcomes meticulously in the CRM system.
• Collaborate with the wider team and community partners through digital communication channels.
