Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Social Support Coordinator to join a growing virtual team. You will connect individuals with resources, provide guidance, and facilitate support networks entirely online from a home office.

The role requires empathy, strong digital communication, and the ability to work independently in a fully remote setting across KwaZulu-Natal and beyond. A relevant degree and at least 2 years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in social support, counseling, or case management.
• Proven ability to provide effective support remotely using digital tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong virtual interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with video conferencing software (Zoom/Teams), CRM systems, and digital platforms.
• High self-discipline, organization, and time management for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver remote support services to clients via phone, video calls, and secure messaging platforms.
• Conduct online needs assessments and develop personalized support strategies.
• Research, identify, and connect clients with relevant online and community-based resources.
• Provide emotional support, encouragement, and information to clients navigating life challenges.
• Maintain detailed digital client records and track progress towards goals.
• Facilitate online group sessions or support forums for clients.
• Collaborate with the remote team and external service providers through digital communication tools.
• Ensure client confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
• Stay updated on available resources and best practices in remote social support.
• Offer technical assistance to clients to access digital services.
