Placements24 represents a fully remote construction consultancy seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. You will manage all costs across multiple projects, from initial calculations to final figures, in a distributed work environment.

The role requires a sharp analytical mind, strong negotiation skills, and proven budget management across diverse projects. MRICS is desirable, with 7+ years in quantity surveying and a solid grasp of contract law and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field.
• MRICS or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of contract law, risk management, and cost control techniques.
• Proficiency in cost management software and remote communication/reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, tender, and deliver contracts and manage sub-contractor agreements.
• Analyse construction methods and advise on the best options for the project.
• Provide advice on procurement strategy, risk management, and value engineering.
• Manage all costs from initial calculations to final costs.
• Carry out feasibility studies and financial appraisals, advising on value engineering.
• Measure and value work, certify payments, and manage claims and variations.
