Placements24 is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee cost management for major construction projects in South Africa. The role is remote-first, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure financial viability and value engineering.

Applicants should hold a Quantity Surveying degree, SACQSP accreditation is advantageous, and possess 7+ years in the field with strong cost estimating and contract management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• SACQSP accreditation desirable.
• 7+ years of quantity surveying experience in construction.
• Proficiency with cost management software and estimating tools.
• Strong knowledge of JBCC and FIDIC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for construction projects.
• Manage tender documents and bid evaluations.
• Administer contracts including variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction phase.
• Provide cost-benefit analysis and liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
