Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Quantity Surveyor to manage all costs on building and civil engineering projects from initial estimates to final accounts. Working remotely, you will monitor costs, provide financial insights, and support project teams while ensuring value for money.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, 5+ years' experience, proficiency with cost estimating software, and solid knowledge of contracts such as FIDIC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in cost estimating software and standard measurement practices (SMM, NRM).
• In-depth knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC, JBCC) and dispute resolution processes.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and financial management skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and experience working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and Bills of Quantities for construction projects based on drawings.
• Manage tender processes, including pre-qualification of contractors and bid analysis.
• Administer contracts, including variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Monitor expenditure, forecast costs, and provide regular financial reports to management.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify work for cost control.
• Advise on procurement strategies and contract conditions to minimize financial exposure.
