Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join a remote construction team. You will manage project costs from inception to completion, preparing estimates, tendering, contract administration and financial reporting for various projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in quantity surveying, a degree in the field, and proficiency with cost estimation software. SACQSP accreditation is advantageous. Fully remote role with healthcare and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and contract administration practices.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials and market rates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects.
• Manage the tendering process, including evaluation and contractor selection.
• Administer construction contracts and ensure compliance with terms.
• Monitor expenditures, manage variations and process payment certificates.
• Conduct cost analysis and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers for cost-effective outcomes.
