Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Quantity Surveyor to join a distributed team. This fully remote role involves managing all costs relating to construction projects, from initial calculations to final figures, ensuring financial objectives are met.

You will work with project managers, engineers and clients to control costs and provide expert financial advice, leveraging advanced cost management tools across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector
• Proficiency in cost estimating software and contract administration
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and market costs
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and financial management skills
• Proven ability to work independently and manage remote client communications effectively

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects
• Monitor project expenditures, manage variations, and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle
• Administer contracts, including tendering, negotiation, and contract preparation
• Value work done, certify payments, and manage final account settlements
• Advise clients on procurement strategy, contract selection, and cost-saving measures
• Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with construction projects
