Job summary

Placements24 client, a global leader in renewable energy solutions, seeks a Senior Power Systems Engineer for a fully remote team. You will design, analyze and optimize large-scale power systems focusing on grid integration, stability and reliability across diverse geographies.

With 9+ years in power systems and advanced degrees, you will use PSS/E/ETAP/PSCAD to deliver studies, protection schemes, and grid interconnection work while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with stakeholders

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
9+ years of experience in power system analysis, design and grid integration.
Proficiency with power system software (PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of planning, operation, protection and control in power systems.

Responsibilities

Conduct power flow, short-circuit, stability and harmonic analyses using industry tools.
Design and optimize grids for renewable energy integration (solar, wind, storage).
Develop protection schemes and relay coordination for reliability and safety.
Contribute to grid interconnection studies and utility-scale projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and codes.
Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and regulators.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers in the remote team.
Stay current with standards, technologies and regulatory changes.
Participate in project meetings and technical discussions remotely.
