Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer (Power Systems) for a fully remote role focused on designing advanced electrical infrastructure for international renewable energy projects. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Power Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in electrical power system design and analysis.
• Deep understanding of generation, transmission, and distribution.
• Experience with renewable energy integration and grid interconnection challenges.
• Proficiency in ETAP, PSS/E, CYME or similar software.
• Knowledge of high-voltage equipment, protection systems and control logic.

Responsabilités

• Design and engineer large-scale electrical power systems for renewable projects, including grid interconnection and substations.
• Perform load flow, short circuit, and stability analyses using industry tools.
• Develop single-line and schematic diagrams with detailed equipment specs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders on integrated designs.
• Conduct design reviews of proposals and construction plans.
• Develop testing and commissioning procedures for power system components.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC, IEEE, and NERC standards.
• Provide technical support throughout feasibility, design, and handover phases.
• Stay updated on advancements in power system technology and grid modernization.
