Placements24 is seeking a Lead Power Systems Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design, analyze, and optimize complex power networks, ensuring stability and efficiency across generation, transmission, and distribution.

The position demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to guide a global, time-zone diverse team. The ideal candidate has a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years in power systems, and hands-on experience with PSS/E, DIgSILENT

Qualifications

Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems.
10+ years in power systems with leadership experience.
Experience with PSS/E, DIgSILENT, ETAP and renewable integration.

Responsibilities

Lead design, analysis, and simulation of power systems for generation, transmission, and distribution.
Develop grid stability, reliability, and efficiency improvement strategies.
Perform load flow, short-circuit, dynamic stability, and protection coordination studies.
Integrate renewable energy sources and energy storage into the grid.
Create technical specifications for power system equipment and control systems.
Mentor a team of power systems engineers in a remote setting.
Collaborate with stakeholders across locations and time zones.
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations.
