Job summary

Placements24 is hiring a Senior Educational Technologist and Online Learning Facilitator to lead the design and delivery of online courses from anywhere in South Africa. You will shape educational technology strategies, support educators and students, and manage digital learning initiatives.

The role requires expertise in LMS platforms, instructional design, and content creation, with a strong track record of remote collaboration and program evaluation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in educational technology, online course development, and facilitation.
• Proficiency with major LMS platforms such as Moodle, Blackboard, or Canvas.
• Strong skills in digital content creation using Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate.
• Experience with ADDIE or SAM instructional design models.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement engaging online courses and digital learning materials.
• Provide technical support and training on LMS and digital tools for educators and students.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to convert content to online formats.
• Maintain a repository of digital learning resources.
• Facilitate online learning communities and drive student engagement.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and suggest data-informed improvements.
• Stay updated on trends in educational technology and online pedagogy.
• Develop and deliver instructional design training workshops for faculty.
• Troubleshoot LMS and digital platform issues.
• Contribute to strategic planning of digital learning initiatives.
