Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist for a fully remote role serving clients nationwide from South Africa. You will manage multi‑cycle payroll operations, ensure accurate deductions, and handle employee data changes while enforcing SA labor and tax regulations.

The ideal candidate has a National Diploma in Payroll Management with 4+ years of payroll experience, proficiency in Sage VIP/Payslip and Excel, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Payroll Management or related field.
• Minimum 4 years hands-on payroll experience.
• Knowledge of SA payroll legislation and tax rules (PAYE, UIF, SDL).
• Proficient with payroll software (Sage VIP, Payslip) and Excel.
• Remote work capability with strong time management.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Process multi-cycle payroll accurately with correct deductions.
• Manage employee data: new hires, terminations, status changes.
• Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, and SARS regulations.
• Submit monthly payroll reports and reconciliations.
• Handle employee payroll queries.
• Liaise with SARS, UIF, and other statutory bodies.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll data.
• Review and update payroll processes for best practices.
• Perform payroll audits to identify discrepancies.
