Job summary

Placements24 partners with an international organization to recruit a highly skilled Remote Payroll Specialist. The role focuses on accurate bi-weekly or monthly payroll processing for employees across locations, ensuring SA tax compliance and timely filings.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, at least 3 years in payroll, and strong knowledge of SA payroll legislation, with proficiency in Sage VIP, PaySpace, PayFast, and HRIS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Solid knowledge of South African payroll legislation and tax requirements.
• Proficiency with payroll software (Sage VIP, PaySpace, PayFast) and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll accurately and timely for all employees.
• Ensure compliance with SA payroll tax regulations and filings.
• Manage employee payroll data including new hires, terminations and changes.
• Calculate statutory deductions, garnishments, and benefits contributions.
• Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
