Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Payroll Administrator for a fully remote role in South Africa. You will manage end-to-end payroll for a diverse client base, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely disbursement.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, data integrity, and collaboration with clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of payroll experience, solid SA payroll knowledge (BCEA, LRA, Income Tax Act), and proficiency with VIP/Sage and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years’ payroll administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation (BCEA, LRA, Income Tax Act).
• Proficiency with VIP and Sage payroll software.
• Strong MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for multiple clients on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.
• Manage employee data: new hires, terminations, changes.
• Compute and process statutory deductions ( UIF, PAYE ).
• Ensure compliance with SA labour laws and payroll regs.
• Generate payroll reports for clients and internal teams.
• Handle payroll queries professionally.
• Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with year-end processes including IRP5 submissions.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll information.
