Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Chemical Process Safety Engineer to enhance safety protocols across its operations. The role is managed entirely from a remote setup, supporting distributed engineering and operations teams.

You will lead PHAs, develop PSM programs, assess risks, investigate incidents, and provide training, ensuring OSHA PSM compliance and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related safety discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years in process safety engineering in the chemical industry.
• Proficient with PHA methodologies and OSHA PSM requirements.
• Strong knowledge of chemical process hazards and risk assessment.
• Excellent remote communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct PHAs (HAZOP, LOPA, What-If) and document findings.
• Develop and implement PSM programs and procedures.
• Assess chemical process risks and recommend mitigations.
• Investigate incidents and identify root causes with corrective actions.
• Provide remote technical training on process safety to teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
