Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly experienced Remote Process Safety Engineer to strengthen safety across global oil and gas facilities from a home office. You will develop, implement, and maintain robust PSM systems, conduct PHAs, HAZOP/LOPA, and What-If studies, focus on risk assessment and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in process safety within oil & gas, strong communication, and remote incident investigation and training leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in process safety engineering in Oil & Gas.
• In-depth knowledge of PHA methodologies and risk assessment techniques.
• Familiarity with industry codes, standards and regulations related to process safety.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
• Ability to communicate and influence stakeholders remotely.

Responsibilities

• Lead PHAs including HAZOP, LOPA and What-If studies.
• Develop and implement Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
• Investigate process safety incidents and recommend root-cause corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver training on process safety principles.
• Review designs and MOC to ensure inherent safety.
• Monitor KPIs for process safety and report to management.
