Job summary

Placements24 partners with a global chemical operations leader to hire a remote-based Chemical Process Safety Specialist. The role drives safety management, hazard identification, and risk mitigation across all chemical processes, fostering a strong safety culture worldwide.

The successful candidate will develop and implement safety programs, lead PHAs, RCAs, and training, and ensure compliance with PSM standards while collaborating with teams remotely to safeguard people and assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related safety discipline.
• 5+ years of process safety experience in chemical or petrochemical industry.
• Knowledge of PSM standards (OSHA PSM, EPA RMP).
• Experience leading PHAs and RCAs.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage process safety programs.
• Lead PHAs including HAZOP, LOPA and What-If studies.
• Oversee incident investigations and RCAs with corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety legislation, standards and policies.
• Provide remote training and guidance on process safety.
• Maintain PSI and MOC procedures.
