Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Chemical Process Safety Engineer to join a globally distributed team. You will develop, implement, and oversee Process Safety Management (PSM) programs across chemical operations.

The role emphasizes PHAs (HAZOP, What-If, FMEA), incident investigations, regulatory compliance (OSHA PSM, EPA RMP), and safety training, with a strong focus on shaping a worldwide safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience specifically in chemical process safety.
• Proven experience with PHA methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of PSM regulations and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to drive safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Process Safety Management (PSM) systems and procedures.
• Conduct PHAs including HAZOP, What-If, and FMEA studies.
• Oversee incident investigations and root cause analyses with corrective actions.
• Provide guidance on process safety principles and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and deliver training programs on process safety to relevant personnel.
