Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Chemical Safety Engineer to uphold top-tier process safety across operations. In this fully remote role, you will develop, implement, and audit safety management systems, PHAs, and risk mitigation strategies to safeguard people, assets, and the environment.

You will influence safety culture, work independently, and drive robust programs from a global perspective, supporting best-in-class practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related safety discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years in chemical safety engineering, PSM or EHS.
• In-depth knowledge of hazard identification techniques and risk assessment methodologies.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as OSHA PSM or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement chemical safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct PHAs, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments for processes.
• Investigate safety incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations and standards.
• Provide safety training and guidance to engineers, operators, and management.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare detailed safety reports.
