Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Principal Chemical Engineer specializing in Process Design to lead conceptual and detailed designs for advanced chemical plants on a fully remote basis. You will direct front-end engineering, simulations, safety reviews, and equipment sizing while mentoring engineers and guiding project teams in a global, virtual environment.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in process design, deep knowledge of P&ID, HAZOP/LOPA/SIL, and proficiency with Aspen Plus, HYSYS, and Pro/II.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of progressive chemical process design experience.
• Leadership or principal engineer experience on large-scale design projects.
• Strong knowledge of process safety management and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual designs, FEED, and detailed engineering packages for complex chemical plants.
• Provide technical direction on process design, ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Conduct process simulations, P&ID development, mass/energy balances, equipment sizing.
• Perform HazOps/LOPA/SIL reviews and integrate safety into designs.
• Mentor a team of chemical engineers and collaborate remotely with clients and管理 teams.
