Placements24 is seeking a Principal Chemical Process Engineer for a fully remote, strategic role. You will lead design, development, and scale-up of chemical processes from concept to commercialization, guiding cross-functional teams worldwide.

The position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and innovation in a remote setting. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience in chemical process design, strong modeling skills (Aspen Plus, HYSYS), and a proven leadership record in challenging

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
10+ years in chemical process design, development, and scale-up, preferably in specialty chemicals or petrochemicals.
Experience with process modeling and simulation software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
Proven track record leading complex engineering projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and optimization of chemical processes with safety and sustainability in mind.
Conduct feasibility studies, pilot trials, and scale-up operations for new products.
Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specs with rigor.
Perform process simulations and modelling using industry-standard software.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
Oversee HAZOP and other safety reviews.
Collaborate with R&D, operations and PM teams for seamless execution.
Manage CAPEX projects related to process improvements and new plants.
Stay updated on emerging chemical engineering technologies.
