Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Chemical Process Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design, optimize, and troubleshoot complex chemical processes across diverse industrial applications, driving efficiency and sustainability in a virtual, cross-functional environment.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in process design, strong simulation skills (Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD), and a proven track record of delivering large engineering projects with safety in mind.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Chemical Engineering or related field.
7+ years in process design and optimization in chemical/petrochemical sectors.
Proficient in process simulation and data analysis tools.
Strong thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and reaction kinetics knowledge.
Excellent communication and ability to work remotely with a team.
Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize chemical process designs, incl. PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specs.
Run process simulations and modeling with industry tools (Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD).
Perform feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new technologies.
Troubleshoot operational issues and improve plant performance and yield.
Ensure safety, environmental and regulatory compliance in design and operation.
Collaborate with R&D, operations, and PM teams in a remote setting.
