Placements24 seeks a seasoned Remote Senior Chemical Engineer to lead conceptual and detailed process design from a distributed engineering team. You will develop PFDs, P&IDs, perform simulations, and ensure safety/compliance while mentoring junior engineers virtually.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in chemical process design.
Proficiency in industry-standard process simulation software (Aspen Plus, ChemCAD).
Strong knowledge of process safety principles and relevant industry codes.

Responsibilities

Lead the conceptual and detailed design of chemical processes, including PFDs and P&IDs.
Perform process simulations and equipment sizing calculations for reactors, distillation columns, heat exchangers, and pumps.
Develop heat and mass balances, utility requirements, and equipment specifications.
Ensure designs comply with safety standards (e.g., HAZOP) and environmental regulations.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers remotely.
Collaborate with virtual cross-functional teams, including project managers, procurement, and operations.
