Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Chemical Process Design Engineer for a fully remote role focusing on conceptual and detailed design for chemical facilities and upgrades. You will translate client requirements into efficient process solutions using advanced tools, coordinating with project teams from a distance to ensure feasibility and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in chemical process design, preferably in a remote setting.
• Proficiency with process simulation software (Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD) and CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, transport phenomena, and reaction kinetics.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME, API).
• Excellent communication and ability to manage remote collaboration across sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop process designs including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, and equipment sizing.
• Perform simulations and economic evaluations for new and modified processes.
• Select process technologies and equipment for diverse chemical applications.
• Ensure designs meet safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams on project design.
• Prepare technical specifications and design reports for deliverables.
