Placements24 is seeking a Lead Chemical Engineer for a fully remote role focused on advanced process design. You will conceptualize, develop, and scale new chemical processes from your home office, leading a distributed engineer team and collaborating with global project teams.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in chemical process design, with strong experience in process simulations, PFDs/P&IDs, and HAZOP studies, and a passion for sustainable engineering and innovation.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering required.
• 10+ years in chemical process design with leading roles.
• Experience designing complex chemical plants, preferably specialty chemicals/advanced materials.
• Advanced proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis.
• Proven experience in HAZOP studies and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization and detailed design of novel chemical processes with focus on scalability and efficiency.
• Oversee development of PFDs and P&IDs for new projects.
• Conduct process simulations and techno-economic analyses to validate designs.
• Ensure designs comply with safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Mentor remote chemical engineers and manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using virtual tools and platforms.
• Stay updated with advances in chemical engineering and implement relevant innovations.
• Contribute to long-term strategic engineering plans.
