Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll processing role.
• In-depth knowledge of South African payroll legislation, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
• Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Sage VIP Payroll, PaySpace, Workday Payroll).

Responsabilités

• Process end-to-end payroll for all employees accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to all deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with South African payroll legislation, including PAYE, UIF, and SDL.
• Manage employee data in the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, and changes to compensation or benefits.
• Process all payroll-related deductions, reimbursements, and statutory payments.
• Reconcile payroll data and resolve any discrepancies or errors promptly.
• Prepare and submit accurate payroll tax filings and other statutory reports.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
• Assist with internal and external payroll audits.
• Continuously identify and implement improvements to payroll processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
