Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Payroll Administrator to manage payroll operations remotely, ensuring timely and accurate processing of salaries, deductions, and statutory contributions for all staff. You will maintain payroll records, respond to employee queries, and stay compliant with South African labour laws and tax regulations.

The ideal candidate is organized, proficient with payroll software, and able to work autonomously from any location.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar payroll processing role.
• In-depth knowledge of South African payroll regulations, including PAYE, UIF, and SDL.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll accurately and efficiently for all employees on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Ensure all statutory deductions (e.g., UIF, PAYE) and benefit contributions are calculated and submitted correctly and on time.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
• Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax matters.
• Reconcile payroll reports and resolve any discrepancies or errors identified.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and ensure company compliance.
