Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to monitor a large telecommunications network from a remote setting. You will be on the front line, detecting incidents, diagnosing issues, and coordinating with senior engineers to ensure rapid resolutions.

The role emphasizes staying calm under pressure, documenting actions, and continuously improving processes while supporting a fully remote team with schedule flexibility.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in a NOC environment or network monitoring.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios) and protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP).
• Basic understanding of telecom networks and hardware (routers, switches).
• Ability to work remotely and on shift schedules; stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network 24/7 using monitoring tools.
• Detect, diagnose, and respond to alerts; escalate as needed.
• Document all events, actions and resolutions in ticketing system.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot network problems.
• Identify recurring issues and propose preventative measures.
• Maintain accurate records of network status and operations.
