Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to join our client’s team in Midrand, South Africa. The role focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the telecom network 24/7 to ensure uptime, performance, and security while working with cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities include incident diagnosis, escalation, change implementation, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a NOC or network support role within the telecommunications industry
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching)
• Certifications such as CCNA or Network+ are advantageous

Responsabilités

• Monitor network performance and availability using NOC tools and dashboards
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network incidents and outages promptly to minimize service disruption
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers with detailed incident reports
• Implement network configuration changes and upgrades per procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and incident logs
