Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer specializing in Operations and Efficiency on a contract basis. This role is remote within South Africa, focusing on improving operational performance in production, logistics, and warehousing for the Nelspruit region and surrounding areas.

You will analyze workflows, identify efficiency gains, drive cost reductions, and implement best practices using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, with strong data analysis and communication to remote

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in industrial engineering with focus on operations improvement.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Tableau).
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with remote teams.

Responsibilities

Analyze production, warehousing and logistics to identify inefficiencies.
Develop strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve throughput.
Apply Lean/Six Sigma and other methodologies to drive improvements.
Conduct data analysis to support decisions and measure impact of changes.
Create process flow diagrams and value stream maps to document operations.
Collaborate with teams to implement changes and secure buy-in.
Develop and track KPIs to monitor performance.
Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings.
Research and recommend technologies to boost efficiency.
Manage projects related to operational improvement from initiation to completion.
